The IT Architect with solutioning expertise is responsible for designing and implementing high-level architectural frameworks, ensuring that IT infrastructure and applications align with business needs and strategies. This role requires a balance of technical knowledge, strategic planning, and solutioning expertise to drive technological innovation, improve system efficiencies, and provide solutions to complex business problems. The individual will work closely with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, development teams, and external vendors, to deliver scalable and robust IT solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solution Architecture Design:
- Develop and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing IT architectures.
- Define the system, application, and technical architecture requirements to meet the business goals.
- Ensure architectural consistency across different applications, platforms, and environments.
- Solutioning Expertise:
- Provide technical expertise in designing end-to-end solutions that address complex business needs.
- Collaborate with project managers, developers, and business analysts to determine the technical requirements and create effective solutions.
- Evaluate current IT systems and recommend necessary upgrades or rearchitecting solutions based on emerging technologies and business strategies.
- Lead the creation of Proof of Concepts (POCs) to validate solution approaches.
- Technology Strategy & Roadmap:
- Contribute to the IT strategic roadmap, ensuring that architecture and solutions are aligned with long-term business objectives.
- Continuously assess industry trends, emerging technologies, and tools to identify opportunities for innovation and optimization.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with business units and stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Act as a liaison between the technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure project objectives are aligned.
- Technical Leadership:
- Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure that design and architecture documentation are well-maintained and updated.
- Conduct code reviews, architecture audits, and system performance evaluations to ensure best practices are followed.
- Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate risks in technical design, implementation, and solution deployment phases.
- Ensure compliance with security standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Vendor Management:
- Work with third-party vendors to evaluate products, integrate solutions, and manage implementations.
- Oversee vendor deliverables to ensure they meet architectural standards and business needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in IT architecture, solution design, and development.
- Proven experience as a solution architect in large-scale IT projects.
- Deep understanding of enterprise IT systems, software development lifecycles, and best practices for infrastructure and cloud environments.
- Strong experience with architectural frameworks and methodologies (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid architecture.
- Proficiency in integration technologies (e.g., APIs, microservices, SOA).
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application architecture, and database management.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Certifications (Preferred):
- TOGAF Certified

Work Environment:
This role may require occasional travel to partner or vendor sites. Hybrid or remote working arrangements may be available based on organizational policies.
