We are seeking an experienced Operations Technology Automation Leader to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the assessment, implementation, and optimization of technology automation solutions for our client across the globe. The Operations Technology Automation Leader will play a critical role in streamlining processes, enhancing productivity, and improving overall efficiency.
As the Operations Technology Automation Leader, you will collaborate with various teams, including operations, IT, and project management, to identify areas for automation and develop strategies to implement cutting-edge technologies. You will be responsible for managing automation projects from conception to execution, ensuring their successful implementation and long-term sustainability. Additionally, you will provide technical expertise and guidance to the team to enable seamless integration of automation solutions into existing processes.
Job Responsibilities
- Evaluate existing operational processes and identify opportunities for automation. Lead consulting assessment projects at customer sites, which may require short term visits (2 to 3 weeks) to various locations globally.
- Collaborate with the team to assess the current assets, including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and other relevant components.
- Develop and implement automation strategies and roadmaps.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Lead cross-functional teams to execute automation projects and ensure successful and timely completion.
- Conduct feasibility studies, cost-benefit analysis, and risk assessments for automation initiatives.
- Define and implement performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of automation solutions.
- Train and provide support to end-users on new automation technologies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for our customer, coordinating communication and managing expectations.
- Interact with global customers, including leading project teams and providing front-end support during assessments with client.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Requirements:
- Around 10+ years of experience, with a background in automation engineering and an understanding of lower-level OT layers (PLCs, SCADA), transitioning to upper layers such as MES and IIoT.
- Experience working with tier-1 OT OEMs companies or prominent automation system integrators is preferred.
- Proven experience leading project teams and working with global customers, demonstrating effective communication and relationship management skills.
- Strong expertise in operations technology, IT, processes, and automation in industrial contexts.
- Immediate joiners with valid US visa or Schengen Visa will have a preference.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to come up with innovative solutions for digital transformation projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field is required; advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Willingness to travel to various customer sites on a regular basis (short-term trips of 2 to 3 weeks).
- Great attention to detail and analytical skills.
